If choose one of the generally beloved menue in Korea, that’s defenitely a pork cutlet. On last Saterday, I visited a pork cutlet store with one of my friend in Ilsan Don-gu, Goyang city, South Korea.

Mood – Warm and Cozy
On the street where the store is located, some other restaurants or foreign food stores are sparsely. So it’s hard to find people eat out for Saturday lunch, but it has warm and cozy mood like welcoming me in hunger.

The store is not big just with tables for two, three and four people. But the woody interior under yellowish lights is filled with items picked by the owner, making a cozy vibe.
Service – Normal
In terms of service, the server is nice and the servicing is rather fast. Right after we sat on a table, she set the table with side dishes and a small bowl of cream soup for each.

As so tired and very hungry, we finished the soup even before our main dishes come out. We could take the second bowl on the self-service table.
On the table, there’re a small rice cooker to heat the soup and other side dishes such as kimchi and pickled raddish, allowing customers to take out as they want. I was a bit disappointed the server didn’t get me the soup, even we are the only table in the store. But self-service bar is common now, and the conditions look clean and nice.
Food – Generous and Nice
Just in about 15 minutes, our main dishes come out; Pork Cutlet with Sirloin. The plate is well-organized with salad, rice and a pice of canned pineapple. It’s a sight for sore eyes.

Also, the tast is very satisfied. The cutlet sauce is not so thick or watery and the salad sauce tast a bit of nutty. It’s hard to say it is the best-ever cutlet in my life, but it’s definitely my taste. In addition, considering it’s only 10,000 KRW (about 7.3 dollars), I feel envy the local who can enjoy such a fullfilled dish at a resonable price.
